Abstract

This work deals with the ascending areas and their related access roads for vehicles of the integrated rescue system in urban areas. It is divided in four parts. The first section summarizes the applicable requirements of Czech legislation. The second part then compares these requirements with the requirements of the selected foreign legislation. The third part compares the legislative requirements with the parameters of high-rise fire technology. The fourth section brings the practical observation for the specification of the biggest problems preventing effective use of the ascending areas and suggests possible solutions
