Abstract

This master thesis deals with the design and implementation of the KNX device interconnection, which allows communication between devices of different manufacturers, and the Intrusion and Hold-up Alarm System I\&HAS from Paradox. In the first part, a research of the current topic within IT security and the possibilities of connecting IoT devices to the smart home is conducted. Furthermore, the I\&HAS system, EPS and the standardized KNX protocol are described. Furthermore, the three largest companies in the I\&HAS field are described and compared. Subsequently, a schematic drawing, a technical report and a material specification for the I\&HAS system are produced. In the penultimate section, the interconnection between I\&HAS and I\&HAS is made. The penultimate part deals with data analysis for the use of automated commands under certain conditions from indoor environmental quality sensors. The last section deals with the evaluation of the project and the results of the analysis.
