Abstract
The diploma thesis is focused on the wage differences analysis in the Czech labour market. The aim of this thesis is to identify differences in remuneration for selected professions in the wage and salary area in the Czech Republic. The goal has been fulfilled in the individual chapters. The diploma thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction. The second one based on theoretical knowledge describes the causes of wage differences in the labour market. There is also described the role of education and human capital. In this part of the thesis the discrimination is also delineated. The third chapter focuses on empirical studies. The fourth chapter analyzes wage differences in selected professions in the Czech labour market. This chapter also includes average wages and salaries period from 2011 to 2017. Suggestions and recommendations for improving the wage differences across professions are part of the fifth chapter. The last chapter is the conclusion.
