Analýza udržateľnosti podniku pôsobiaceho v chemickom odvetví

Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of the sustainable business of a selected company from the chemical industry, the observance and fulfillment of ESG goals and, subsequently, a comparison with the competition in the area of sustainability in the chemical industry. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The second chapter of the work is theoretical and its goal is to define basic terms such as sustainable business, its regulation, goals of sustainable business, CSR as the social responsibility of companies, individual pillars of ESG, circular economy and circular economy. The third chapter of the thesis is focused on the characteristics of the selected company, its attitude to the environment and sustainable development, company history, research and development and product portfolio. A detailed analysis of sustainable development can be found in the fourth chapter. The fifth chapter is focused on the evaluation of the results. Sustainability is compared in the form of benchmarking with the selected company and with the entire chemical industry during the monitored period from 2017 to 2022. Based on the results, proposals and recommendations are established for the selected company that can lead to the improvement of sustainable development.
