Euroregiony a přeshraniční spolupráce v Moravskoslezském kraji

Abstract

This thesis is focused on cross-border and international cooperation within the countries of European Union. The work deals with cross-border cooperation on the Czech-Polish and Czech-Slovak border. The aim of this thesis is analysis and description of Euroregions and cross-border cooperation in the Moravia-Silesia region. Author also focused on financing options of Euroregions and the use of EU funds for support of Euroregional programs. First chapter deals with cross-border cooperation, its development and it outlines the objectives of cross-border cooperation. In addition, this chapter focuses on the types of border regions, structures and defines the concept of the Euroregion. The second chapter is devoted to programs and initiatives promoting cross-border and international cooperation, as well as their development. The third and last part is focused on the issue of use of EU funds for Euroregions in the Moravia-Silesia region.
