Abstract

The position of the company on the market depends on a lot of factors. It is mainly the business field, a size of the company, an orientation on a customer and competitiveness. The last aspect is a quite important and brings a question how the companies can get the competitive advantage currently. The possible way is the risk management, this has gradually found the application in a huge range of the companies and the activities. The presented work focuses on the risk management in a sphere of extraordinary accidents connected with the fire and the explosion formation within Asset risk management system. The particular goal of the work is a creation of the methodology for risk management of extraordinary accident and computer program which enable decreasing of the vulnerability in the metallurgical companies, and the verification on the case study. The first and the second chapter acquaint with the solved issue of risk management and possible ways of the extraordinary events modelling. The most important initial presumptions for a meeting with the issue by the risk management, the organizations in Europe and in the world which associate the consultant companies, the field associations and research institutes in a sphere of risk management, are described here. The historical events with the severe consequences on the protected values and possible ways of modelling of consequences and vulnerability for a need of risk management and the study, are described here. There are presented the basic legal regulations and computer programs. The third chapter concretizes the particular goals of the work. The fourth chapter includes the chosen methods of the elaboration. The chapter is divided into the risk management and the modelling of industrial accidents. The detailed information on the risk, the process of risk management and the Asset risk management are presented in the part of the risk management. The part of the modelling of industrial accidents includes the presumptions of the calculations, division of the fires and explosions to the groups and a theoretical description of the most important computational models. The fifth chapter proposes the methodology for the risk management in a sphere of extraordinary events caused by the fire and the explosion for the metallurgical companies. The sixth chapter verifies the proposed methodology within the metallurgical company in Moravian – Silesian region, the particular evaluated extraordinary events are gradually presented. The modelling of the fires and the explosions and the evaluation of the particular extraordinary accidents are presented in separate appendixes of the work. The work continues with results discussion from the case study, the proposed methodology and the created program. The conclusion evaluates the benefits for the praxis and the research. The part of the work is the presentation of the possible development ways.
