Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the modeling of DC drives powered by a controlled rectifier and DC/DC converter and with analyzing of input quantities of the drive. There is described and created mathematical model of a brushed DC motor, thyristor controlled rectifier and four-quadrant chopper. These models are further enhanced with calculation of power losses in the motor and converters. Models of the drive were developed in Matlab/Simulink. The last section focuses on the comparison of input quantities for the two types of power supply.
