Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to verify the possibility of experimental rolling, from which it is possible to obtain samples for investigation of mechanical properties. It is necessary to simulate the real process and compare it with real results. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the description of strip rolling and used rolling mills. It is focused in more detail on the analysis of structural forming processes in thermomechanical rolling. Practical part describes modelling and laboratory research. Creating a MODEL, designing and performing an experiment. The data obtained from laboratory rolling are compared with the results of existing programs, with the created MODEL and with the results obtained from rolling in AMO. Microalloyed steel samples were rolled in the laboratory. Different cooling modes were used. Laboratory cooling equipment was tested for water cooling. The rolled samples were subjected to tensile testing and metallographic structure studies. Rolling forces, rolling torque, mechanical properties and structure were compared. When comparing the results of the AMO results, it is evident that air cooled samples have the most similar properties. However, the watercooling system did not suitable. It is not possible to control the cooling intensity sufficiently.
