Abstract

Purpose of this bachelor work is to determine influence of moisture on shear strength in cohesionless soils. I will examine, if there is a relation between moisture of cohesionless soils and shear strength of soils. This work will have two parts. First part will be theoretic, i will describe soil parameters, and second part will be practical. In this practical part, i will do tests in the laboratory. Test will be done with Vasilievov´s cone, and with direct shear box. I will process measured data, and examine, if there is a relation between them. Testing cohesionless soil will be quartz sand.
