Abstract

My thesis deals with my bachelor's practice completed at Ingeteam a.s. The main goal was to simplify designing and thereby increase the effectivity and speed of the production process itself. Until now, even while designing basic power outlets for low power motors, all components have been chosen by hand or using a ruler. Subsequently , the devices were sought out on the manufacturer's page, followed by seeking out respective articles in the EPLAN Dataportal, and finally importing the devices into the database. Even after this lengthy process, the power outlet itself was not done yet, because it was necessary to draw the circuit diagram for the outlet and assign the articles. This whole process was very time consuming, and therefore the task assigned to me was to explore the products of Schneider-Electric, and use the obtained information to create a design for the wiring of low power engines with fuses or circuit breakers, utilising the products of Schneider-Electric. My choice was to use variable macros in the EPLAN Electric P8 program. This solution should lower the time costs significantly, thereby also saving resources.
