Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is the static analysis of thin-walled cold-formed sections. The solution deals with the effect of shift reinforcement placed in cross-section of the web considering the carring capacity of cross-sectional profile. By means of created software the individual bearing resistence will be determined owing to current height of the stiffener. The static analysis is also solved using commercial software for specific stiffener position. In order to be considered a numerical model for relevatnt, a physical test for verification of results is created. Correct numerical model can deal with optimized profiles. In the last part of the thesis is a roof structure from commonly available trapezoidal profiles designed and analysed and their possible optimization is shown. The output is a comparison of existing and optimized trapezoidal profiles and the determination of optimization effectiveness.
