Abstract

Diploma thesis is focused on the issue of occupational health and safety in a welding shop. Production activities as well as methods of welding that are used in a company, where was the diploma thesis created are briefly described in first chapter. Furthermore technical equipment that is used in the company as well as risk factors that exist in the production are described in this chapter. Next section is focused on description of selected risk factors according to their classification and impact on human body. Risk factors are also evaluated according to their impact on occupational diseases. Furthermore steps, that could mitigate impact of before mentioned factors on human health, are described. Following section is focused on legal and other requirements related to occupational safety in welding shop. Next two chapters are focused on description of current situation of occupational health and safety management in the company and proposed system of occupational health and safety management.
