Abstract

The theme of this thesis is „ the program of economic and social development of villages “, specifically deals with the strategic development of the village Stará Bystrica. The aim of my work was to apply obtained knowledge directly to the existing situation in the village and propose a possible form of economic and social development of the village Stará Bystrica. At the beginning it was necessary to identify key development community, but also the major weaknesses of the village. Then I used a SWOT analysis as a basis to determine the most beneficial objectives, the best use of favorable conditions and incentives for development and also eliminate the problems or risks. Finally, I propose concrete action plans to address the problems and possibilities for financing these projects.
