Abstract

Alkali-activated systems are inorganic materials formed by the alkaline activation and by the subsequent polycondensation. These materials are characterized by the energy and environmental potential. The objective of this work is to investigate the influence of the selected final properties of alkali-activated systems based on granulated blast furnace slag when using different activators. In the experiments the prepared recipes were tested for consistency, the beginnings and ends of the time of solidification occurred between 40-120 minutes , strength and tensile strength in the range 40- 100 MPa, frost resistance and surface resistance to chemical de-icing substances was confirmed. In the final part of the work samples were prepared for the possible application of composites in building practice, while this part of the research was focused on the appearance of the surface and porosity, workability and conditions for removal from the mold and the possibility of industrial production. Most suitable for this application is recipe with Desil AL.
