Abstract

The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to describe the Foreign Direct Investments and their importance and impact on host economy and on main macroeconomic indicators. The aim of practical part is to prove the impact of Foreign Direct Investments on gross domestic product and unemployment in Czech and Slovak Republic by using the correlation analysis. Bachelor Thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is addict to theory of Foreign Direct Investments which includes definitions, forms, kinds and other distribution of Foreign Direct Investments. This chapter also describes investment support and agencies for investment assistance in Czech and Slovak Republic. The second chapter describes the impact of Foreign Direct Investments on macroeconomic indicators, concretely on gross domestic product and unemployment. The third chapter compares Foreign Direct Investment inflows and their impact on gross domestic product and unemployment rate in Czech and Slovak Republic.
