The aim of the master thesis is to verify the effect of additionally installed suspended grid ceiling on the effective area of water distribution of sprinkler system. For the measurement we used the same sprinkler head, that is usually used in combination with the suspended grid ceiling. A grid ceiling was constructed for the purposes of this thesis. The theoretical part describes the sprinkler device, its function and the principle of extinguishing. It also mentions selected technical documents related to the sprinkler system and conditions of installation of suspended grid ceiling under the sprinkler head. The practical part deals with experimental measurement, its procedure and results.
