Studie využití proluky na Masarykově náměstí v Moravské Ostravě

Abstract

Purpose of my diploma thesis is to find solution of vacant site at Masaryk Square in Moravska Ostrava. Final design of thesis counts with design of Town Hall of Moravska Ostrava in this vacant site on the level of study. Design strives to create quality administrative building, supplemented with civic amenities in the parterre and also with two apartments in the highest storey. The whole Town Hall with its publicly accessible open atrium concurrently complements Masaryk Square with small public place. Thesis contains architectural-urbanistic solution of area and Town Hall itself, its operational, typological and constructional linkage. Integral part of thesis is also resolution of problematic traffic in these unfavorable conditions of area.
