Abstract
This thesis handles the issue of accommodation units in a mountain environment. It evaluates the current state of legislation regarding the fire safety of buildings (mainly active fire protection) with a focus on the arrival of fire equipment to the buildings, fire water supply, evacuation and fire safety equipment. Based on this assessment, the proposal was developed dealing with methodology for optimal fire safety in mountain accommodation units. The "Proposed methodology for active fire protection of buildings for accommodation in mountain areas" is divided according to the accessibility of buildings based on the arrival time of the first unit to the incident. Furthermore, the work discusses evacuation, which is a rather fundamental problem in the case of emergencies in mountainous areas and is neglected in the legal regulations regarding fire protection.
