Důchodový systém České republiky a jeho reforma

Abstract

With regard to social security, we see today more young people than in the past who show interest in their future while still at school. There is an increasing demand for information about the duties and rights regarding pension insurance. The submitted paper analyzes the current Czech pension system and its reform. It describes the development of pension insurance, current state of the pension system as well as the calculation and entitlement criteria for the individual benefits. The paper also points out the need to make parametric adjustments due to demographic trends; it also includes an overview of the major parametric changes. The conclusion assesses the necessity for further development of the pension system in order to establish long-term stability.
