Hodnocení výskytu a populační dynamika chřástala polního (Crex crex)

Abstract

This thesis evaluates the incidence and population dynamics of the corncrake (Crex crex) in the municipality Veřovice and Karviná-Louky. The aim was to determine the presence of the corncrake in the areas of interest, compared with the existing information about the occurrence of corncrake in previous years and the subsequent evaluation of possible sources of danger, including the assessment of the suitability of habitat for the occurrence of the species. The research was conducted in the period from May, 13 to July, 9 2016. The result is confirmation of the presence of the corncrake (Crex crex) in Veřovice. In the contrary, the presence of the corncrake in the territory of Karviná-Louky is negative. In the territory Veřovice, corncrake preferred locations where mowing was carried out prior to locations with cattle grazing. Overall, its presence was found at five locations with an average population density of 3 ex / km2.
