Nastavení postupů dekontaminace hasičů a jejich vybavení u déletrvavajících zásahů

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of contamination of firefighters and their equipment by combustion products during fires, especially in natural environments. The main objective of the thesis is to design an effective decontamination procedure that would minimize the health risks associated with exposure to toxic and carcinogenic substances, especially polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The theoretical part describes the essential pollutants produced during combustion, their effect on health and the occurrence of serious diseases among firefighters. This is followed by an analysis of types of contamination and approaches to cleaning of firefighter in the Czech Republic and abroad. The practical part focuses on the design of a comprehensive system of decontamination, both after routine interventions and during prolonged natural fires, when firefighters are deployed in challenging conditions with often limited equipment. The work also includes an analysis of a questionnaire survey of over 500 respondents.
