Presented work, being part of complex study, is trying to give information about steels micro cleanness that were cast into the round billets of the 13 mm in diameter using both the opened casting technology and the protected casting technology between crystallizer and tundish. Especially, the steels with guaranteed aluminium content were studied. Those steels represent problematic casting (eg. nozzle encrusting). The obtained piece of knowledge could lead to obstacle elimination.
