Abstract

The main topic of this thesis is limestone, remnants connected to limestone mining in the Czech Republic. The work summarizes basic data about limestone as raw material, and also limestone mining history in our country. Significant deposits of limestone for production of lime, cement, and other purposes are introduced. The point of this work is resume informations about limestone and cement productions, including deposits and the remains after their extraction maintenance and especially use in these days in one document.
