Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with active safety elements in passenger cars and possibilities of their testing. First part deals with the road safety on the roads of Czech Republic and the function of active safety elements which are required in both existing and new vehicles, and also describes advanced driver assistance systems. The last parts are focused on possibilities of active safety elements testing. This thesis also includes the design and implementation of a device that can be used in experimental measuring focused on determining the braking distance or reaction time of a driver.
