Abstract
This diploma thesis generally talks about optical wireless systems, which are used for indoor applications. This thesis is specifically focused on solution of design optical wireless transmitter designated for wireless connectivity. The transmitter was builded with different number of optical fibers in wad. Goal of this thesis is to find out way to use standard multimode fibers to build optical wireless receiver which will be based only on bundle of optical fibers. This transmitter is tested in perspective of optical intensity distribution depending on fiber diamater, deflection, distance and mainly on use of organic polymer – Pollydimethylsiloxan, which is used as possible modification of fiber end.
Before the measurement of this transmitter was realized, series of simulation were executed in LigtTools software to imagine transmitter’s behaviour in different set modes. As a part of experimental measurement, several prototypes of transmitter were created, then the created transmitters were measured in dark room.
