Abstract
This master thesis focuses on visible light communication and comparison of photodetector types. Theoretical part contains the general description and description of the current state of the optical wireless communication including infrared and visible light communication. It also includes the description of modulation schemes and individual photodetectors. The practical part covers the analysis of the results of measurements of bit error rate and transmission rate parameters for the PDA100A2 and PDA10A2 photodetectors. The measurements were performed using the headlight of a Škoda Kodiaq car as a transmitter.
