Abstract

KOŇAŘÍK, J. Testing of alkali activated systems based on blast furnace slag and evaluation of the usability in a selected field of construction. Diploma thesis, Ostrava. FAST, VŠB-TUO. 2015, 99 pp. Alkali activated systems represent an inorganic substances created by alkali activation of appropriate precursors and subsequent polycondensation. They feature a large potential in energy and environment. The aim of this work is to research the effect of different types of activators on the final properties of the prepared composites based on granulated blast furnace slag and study their behavior with respect to the application in practice. The experiments were primarily focused on determining the physico-mechanical and durability characteristics of selected compounds and also, in cooperation with Štukatérství Jozef Trela, on their applicability and use in construction. For greater objectivity, results were compared with composites prepared from a mixture of cement highest commonly available class, of white cement and Portland cement. In laboratory, the possibility of preparing a mixture by the method practiced in construction practice, the applicability, feasibility and appropriateness of mixtures for the production of stuccoes elements was verified. The main contribution of this work is the implementation of the results of scientific research into real-world conditions specific areas of the construction industry.
