Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a model lesson on the preparedness of the population, specifically elementary school pupils for extraordinary events. A risk analysis is carried out for the elementary school Mezi Školami, based on which a list of relevant extraordinary events is compiled. According to the risk matrix, fire and the actions of an armed attacker appear to be the most serious extraordinary events. For these extraordinary events and sources of danger respectively, proposals and measures for minimising the risks on the campus are set out. The main proposal seems to be a more precise and detailed inclusion of the issue of public preparedness for extraordinary events in the School Educational Program, which could be an annual event consisting of several stations accompanied by representatives of selected units of the integrated rescue system. Increasing the physical security of the school building is also an important aspect. A questionnaire survey of Year 7 pupils revealed gaps in the required knowledge according to the outcomes of the General Educational Program. Here, this is mainly ignorance concerning the tone of the sirens indicating their test, the stages of flood activity, the conditions for the occurrence of a fire, the appropriate use of fire extinguishers, evacuation luggage, the procedure in the event of a leak of a dangerous substance, alerting firefighters to their presence in the building, the principles of behaviour in the event of an earthquake, extinguishing a fire with their own forces and the obligation to report this fact to the 150 line. On the basis of these facts, a detailed basis for the course of the model lesson is compiled. These are documents containing the area of public protection and preparedness for specific extraordinary events, which are the actions of an armed attacker, flood, fire, leakage of a hazardous substance and other extraordinary events that can be encountered mainly abroad. The cooperating school is provided with all the materials created and compiled and is thus initiated to implement this model lesson. Specifically, this includes the provision of the risk analysis and its results, the results of the questionnaire survey, the design of the model lesson for training behaviour in the event of specific extraordinary events, the checklist for the actual course and the materials for implementation in two lessons. The work also contains basic concepts related to the subject and a list of the knowledge requirements for each year group as laid down in the General Educational Program.
