Vytvoření webové mapové prezentace o národních parcích Evropy

Abstract

The thesis deals with the creation of web map presentation of selected European national parks on the Internet. The theoretical part of the thesis includes terminology from sphere of protected areas with a focus on national park term which isn’t always defined clearly. This part is completed with an introduction to basics of publication of spatial data on web. The second practical part includes a description of input data, its adjustments and created web map presentation. It was created using data from the World Database of Protected Areas (WDPA). QGIS software tools were used together with programming in HTML and JavaScript. The result is an interactive web site (http://www.parkyevropa.euweb.cz/) with basic information about the states and selected national parks in Europe.
