Abstract
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design and implement wireless battery charging used to power the electronics placed in a smart cycling helmet to simplify the use of the helmet for the user. This thesis was done on the basis of Invent Medical's demand for developing a smart helmet for cycling. Therefore this thesis includes theoretical basis and information about wireless charging. Design of the schema and procedures of realizing the circuit, for wireless battery charging were made with basing on the information obtained in the previous parts. This circuit consists of the transmitting part, the receiving part, the battery charging module, and the battery itself. Another point of assignment was to ensure adequate battery management to protect the battery against potential overvoltage, undervoltage or overcurrent. Finally, a number of tests were successfully made to verify the functionality of this wireless charging device.
