Abstract
This thesis is dedicated to solving complex problems of electromagnetic and thermoelectric model of the vacuum interrupter by finite element method, using ANSYS software. The theoretical part describes the principle of switching AC current in a vacuum and then describes the design of the vacuum interrupters. It also contains an analysis of force and thermal effects of electric current, which is related to both models. According to these theoretical findings a 3D geometric model in Solidworks drawing software is built, then is imported into ANSYS software, which allows to work with physical fields. This was used to build the solution and evaluation of both thermoelectric and electromagnetic model. Accuracy of thermoelectric model was verified by calculation using the thermal network. In the conclusion are analyzed results and discussed the possibility of using models to optimize the interrupters of vacuum circuit breakers in real tasks.
