Abstract

ŽĎÁREK, Vojtěch. Hybrid threats in crisis situations and their impact on youth behavior. Ostrava 2026, VŠB – Technical university of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering, diploma thesis, Thesis supervisor: doc. Mgr. Ing. Radomír Ščurek, Ph.D. The thesis focues on the issue of hybrid threats in crisis situations and their impact on youth behavior, particularly in relation to the spread of disinformation in the digital environment. The theoretical part defines hybrid threats in the current security environment, their characteristics, typology, actors and their objectives. It further focuses on disinformation and the spread of panic in the digital environment, including social media, and their possible impacts. The theoretical part also includes the legal framework related to this issue and statistical methods for data analysis. The practical part consists of a sociological research based on a quantitative questionnaire survey. The thesis also includes an evalutation of the results of the questionnaire survey, a SWOT analysis, and a comparison of selected case studies. Based on the obtained results, security measures are proposed to increase the resilience of youth.
