Abstract

The aim of my thesis is to create a project architectural study of a retirement home in Brno Obřany, including proposals for solutions surrounding the adjacent public space near the island on the river Svitava The project is based on the conversion of the former mills and the rest of the unused area in Brno-Obřany at a retirement home with a rehabilitation facilities, which will follow the newly formed park and a revitalized waterfront river Svitava. The main objective was to create a new facility on an existing island, which is not strictly define, but will become part of the district Obřany.
