Abstract

The aim of the dissertation is to evaluate the impact of the economic crisis on the purchase logistics of selected companies supplying components in the automotive industry, to propose measures to increase resilience to the effects of the crisis and a selection of suitable inventory and multicriteria clasifification models. The first part describes and critically asseses the supply chains and their specifics in the automotive industry, logistics, purchasing, the position of logistics and purchasing in organizational structures. Purchase logistics and definition of individual purchase logistics activities - order processing, transport, material receipt, supplier management, storage and inventory are specified. Inventory models are listed in more detail. The following is a description and analysis of risks, a description of crises. The second part presents the methodology and theoretical background of the case study methodology, supply chain maturity test SCMAT, selection of inventory models and selection of multi-criteria inventory classification models. In the third part are applied and verified these theoretical basis on real data of companies supplying components to the automotive industry. Case studies are carried out and based on data from these studies, SCMAT test, selection of a suitable inventory model and selection of multi-criteria inventory classification models for best satisfaction of customer‘s demand are performed and verified. The outcome of the thesis based on the findings of research and verification of analyzes is to increase the resilience of companies to crisis phenomena
