Abstract

This thesis deals with issues concerning the accident rate in the joint stock company Severní energetická. The introduction briefly describes the history of brown coal mining in the North Bohemian lignite territory and the characteristics of the company. The work also includes the question of the legislative security issues of occupational safety and health, including the rights and obligations of employees and employers. The main part is devoted to a security system in the company, accident records and an analysis of work injuries according to specified factors. The conclusion proposes measures to reduce accidents at work.
