Abstract
Purpose of this master's thesis is to analyze how to measure variables associated with the operation of the car and then design concept and implementation of systems for their monitoring. The system consists of two parts. The first part includes sensors which are part of car. The second part consists of GPS module which indicates position of the car. Designed and implemented algorithms can be applied to any car which has ODB II, used sensors and GPS module. Algorithm was created in graphical development environment LabVIEW from National Instruments, using additional set of commands called Automotive Diagnostic Command set. Communication, sending a receiving data from OBD II unit of car mediates CAN/USB module. During visualization and storage of data there is a position assigned to relevant data using GPS module.
