Abstract

The aim of this work is to determine whether the flotation method is suitable for obtaining the lead in concentrate from the tailings pond of the Golden Mount, which was established after mining gold ore mining and clean mine water. The first section deals with the geological survey of the area, including hydrogeology and soil science, followed by petrographic composition of rock-forming region including the subdivision of Zlaté Hory mining district. The district is divided into parts according to mined ores. Then follows a particular specialization on the characteristics of the sediment from mine water in the area from which the sample was taken for the practical part. The practical part validates the use of flotation as a suitable method for obtaining the lead in concentrate
