Dostupnost pobytových služeb sociální péče ve Zlínském kraji

Abstract

The subject of the bachelor thesis is residential services, which are provided within the social care in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to evaluate the spatial and capacity availability of residential social care services in the Zlín region in 2021. This period was chosen to maintain the effort to process this work with the most current available information. Within this work, two hypotheses were established that can be confirmed or refuted. Hypothesis 1 reads "All types of residential social care services are represented in the Zlín Region." The research revealed that there is not a single residential facility of social services provided in health care facilities, crisis assistance, an intervention center or a therapeutic community in the Zlín Region. Hypothesis 2 reads "There is sufficient capacity of homes for the elderly in the Zlín Region." Despite the fact that there is a relatively high number of homes for the elderly, this number is insufficient. The availability of residential care for the elderly is insufficient, seniors have to wait in line for many months, often years, before they are provided with residential care in one of the homes for the elderly.
