Abstract
The thesis deals with the creation of a 3D model of the Marian column in Masaryk Square in Ostrava. The theoretical part explains the principles of laser scanning and subsequent work with measured data. It also touches upon the use of technologies for monument documentation, the principle of image correlation and automated creation of a mesh model. In the practical part, the method of data collection in the field using a terrestrial pulsed laser scanner is documented and the following work with the data is also shown. For comparison, a model of an identical column is also made using the digital image correlation method. Both procedures and outputs are evaluated and compared at the end.
