Abstract

Subject of this diploma work is investment return assessment related to bottom blowing at Tandem furnaces. In theoretical part of that work there are described a basic principles and differences in blowing system regarding to technical, technological and investment ways of blowing. A research which proceeded in cooperation of ArcelorMittal and VŠB-TU Ostrava specialists preceded to practical part. The practical part contetns both some performed trial results on their basis has been possible to know economical assessment of the bottom blowing inside Tandem furnaces. Practical part contents also conclusions and knowledges that are possible to use at company in future.
