Abstract
This thesis focuses on the thermo-chemical processing of metallic parts. Above all, this work is focused on gear wheels. It also deals with the main aspects of the design of passenger car gears, types of gearboxes and describes their basic function. The experimental part is focused on the analysis of damaged gearbox wheels.
