Abstract
The thesis is focused to magnesium and its alloys and classifies them. There are
processed the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of magnesium and characteristics
of its alloys in the first part. The second part of the thesis deals with corrosion characteristics
of magnesium and its alloys, for example with anticorrosive resistance or suitability for using.
There is described the technology of the production the magnesium alloys in the third part.
The last part contains the description of the properties and using of these alloys. Final part
summarizes the technology of the production and possible technical applications of
magnesium alloys and the using in the future.
