Abstract
The aim of this thesis is the use of EU funds for waste management in the village of Osek nad Becvou. The first part deals with theory - the theoretical concepts, theoretical foundations of environmental policy, both from the perspective of the European Union and from the perspective of the Czech Republic, the main strategic documents, the Operational Programme Environment, its priority axes and Regional Operational Programmes are defined. The next chapter is an analysis of the current state of municipal waste in the village. The final part tries to find the solutions in the use of funds from the European Union for the reclamation of closed landfills.
