Abstract
Monitoring system is intended for measuring and visualization of power parameters in hybrid power supply system built on VSB-TUO university campus. That’s how we can obtain complete overview about hybrid power supply system efficiency. Monitoring system consists of three main parts: data acquisition, data visualization and an independent power supply. The main part of whole system is the first mentioned. It contains voltage and current transducers LEM and reconfigurable embedded acquisition system NI compactRIO. LEM transducers are used to galvanically isolate measured and measuring circuits and also to scale measured values. NI cRIO performs data acquisition, data manipulation and data saving. Data files are transferred from cRIO to remote computer, where is backup data storage and data visualization performed. Data visualization is available through internet web site. Monitoring system functionality was verified by long time testing and measurement accuracy was calibrated with precise calibrator. Nowadays the monitoring system is in full service.
