Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to introduce new trends in evacuation of people from public buildings. It is divided into three main units. The first unit deals with the dispositional and structural division of objects, an overview of the escape routes, exits of buildings and their signs. And then with use evacuation lifts during evacuation. The second provides an overview of methods, how to collect data about evacuation at public buildings, recording process of evacuation and knowledge about behaviour of people. The last unit provides an overview of evacuation models.
