Abstract
This thesis describes procedures and results of two principal topics of the task. The first one is a collection of requirements and its analysis for an university e-learning application system as well as a complex system of functions for a school system management which will make studying easier for students, and also will make teacher´s work faster and more effective. The thesis describes the types of e-learning in detail and authors´ experiences of e-learning at VŠB-TU Ostrava as well. Futhermore it describes and summarizes a comparison of basic methods used during the gathering of requirements and the analysis of the future software project. A reader will get acquainted with a practical use of this methodology in the process of this software development with a chosen unification methodology of the process. The particular activities of methodology and concrete procedure outputs are presented there as well as analysed gathered requirements and findings whose output served as a basis for a processing in another thesis.
In the second part of the thesis a reader gets acquainted with one of the planned components of the developed system which is a scanning modul for an automatic evaluation of printed paper-based tests. The functional approach and tools dealing with this issues are presented there as well. A proper solution is analysed, projected and implemented which is described from the use of printed tests and its identification to final import of information back to the e-learning system. The reached results of the practical tests and using this component in real operation are presented too. A user´s manual of the whole system and the component is a part of this thesis.
