Abstract

The aim of the master thesis is the implementation of process analysis in a selected business company, subsequent identification of weaknesses in the current processing of business processes and compiling a portfolio of adequate proposals and recommendations to improve the current level of business process processing and thus support the maintenance of competitive advantage in the long run. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to defining the basic concepts related to processes, the characteristics of approaches to improving business processes and selected methods of analysis and improvement of business processes. In the practical part, theoretical knowledge and selected methodology are applied in the processing of process analysis in the company. First, the analysed company is characterized. The following is an analysis of the current state of maturity of business processes using the CMM model, where the missing set parameters are also identified. Then a framework process model of the organization is built. A process BPMN diagram is created for each process, including related use case diagrams. The fourth part derive on the results of the analysis provided at the end of the third chapter and thus forms the basis for recommendations related to process management, but especially for proposing solutions to improve process processing of the company, which was expressed using a series of draft recommendations. The benefits of the thesis can include a detailed knowledge of the organization, mapping, and description of individual processes of the company. An indispensable benefit is, in addition to identifying the weaknesses of the organization, also a specific proposal for solving these problem areas.
