    The paper deals with the problems of safety communication in industrial networks for purpose of assurance of functional safety. It is intents on analysis of treats on industry networks and there is described recommended safety protections and their location into layer communication protocol applicable in fieldbus network, which they are used within safety critical processes control.

    In the present paper we describe a computation of the position of a tectonic dislocation in the shape of a line, which is radiating gamma rays. We derive the equation for dose rate as a function of the distance of the point of measurement from the irradiation line. The theoretical calculation of the position of this line is shown for the case of zero radiation of the background as well as for the case when the radiation of the background is considered.

    Biomedical image analysis by program "vision assistant" and "Labview"

    This paper introduces application in image analysis of biomedical images. General task is focused on analysis and diagnosis biomedical images obtained from program ImageJ. There are described methods which can be used for images in biomedical application. The main idea is based on particle analysis, pattern matching techniques. For this task was chosen sophistication method by program Vision Assistant, which is a part of program LabVIEW.

    Telemetry measurement of selected biological signal using bluetooth technology

    This work treats of using the Bluetooth technology in biomedical engineering. The Bluetooth is used for transmission of measured data from pulse oximeter, ECG and monitor of blood pressure. OEM modules realize the devices for pulse oximetry and ECG. Both these realized devices can communicate with computer by Bluetooth technology and standard serial link too. The realized system of measuring devices is very flexible and mobile, because the Bluetooth technology is used and accumulators can supply the realized devices. It is possible to measure other physical values converted to voltage, because the used OEM module for pulse oximetry include A/D converter. The part of this work is software visualisation of measured values too.

    Telemetry system of biological parameters

    The mobile telemetry system of biological parameters serves for reading and wireless data transfer of measured values of selected biological parameters to an outlying computer. It concerns basically long time monitoring of vital function of car pilot.The goal of this projects is to propose mobile telemetry system for reading, wireless transfer and processing of biological parameters of car pilot during physical and psychical stress. It has to be made with respect to minimal consumption, weight and maximal device mobility. This system has to eliminate signal noise, which is created by biological artifacts and disturbances during the data transfer.

    Telemedical system for monitoring of blood pressure

    It is increasingly clear that the traditional way of measuring blood pressure in the clinic or office frequently produces numbers that grossly overestimate a patient’s true blood pressure level. This effect is often caused by so called „white coat“ syndrome. Nowadays, for this reason it becomes more popular so called home monitoring of blood pressure, that attenuates this effect. In the paper, there is described specially telemedicine system for monitoring of blood pressure. The system consists of blood monitor equipment which automatically reports results of up-to-date patient’s measurements to the doctor’s monitoring and decision support (MDS) system using wireless communication. The MDS system can make an evaluation for the doctor who can immediately intervene if necessary. Introduction of such a system in practice can bring considerable improvement in the treatment of hypertension.

    WCDMA mobile radio network simulator with hybrid link adaptation

    The main aim of this article is the description of the mobile radio network model, which is used for simulation of authentic conditions in mobile radio network and supports several link adaptation algorithms. Algorithms were designed to increase efficiency of data transmission between user equipment and base station (uplink). The most important property of the model is its ability to simulate several radio cells (base stations) and their mutual interactions. The model is created on the basic principles of UMTS network and takes into account parameters of real mobile radio networks.

    Complex simulation model of mobile fading channel

    In the mobile communication environment the mobile channel is the main limiting obstacle to reach the best performance of wireless system. Modeling of the radio channel consists of two basic fading mechanisms - Long-term fading and Short-term fading. The contribution deals with simulation of complex mobile radio channel, which is the channel with all fading components. Simulation model is based on Clarke-Gans theoretical model for fading channel and is developed in MATLAB environment. Simulation results have shown very good coincidence with theory. This model was developed for hybrid adaptation 3G uplink simulator (described in this issue) during the research project VEGA - 1/0140/03.

    J-A hysteresis model parameters estimation using GA

    This paper presents the Jiles and Atherton (J-A) hysteresis model parameter estimation for soft magnetic composite (SMC) material. The calculation of Jiles and Atherton hysteresis model parameters is based on experimental data and genetic algorithms (GA). Genetic algorithms operate in a given area of possible solutions. Finding the best solution of a problem in wide area of possible solutions is uncertain. A new approach in use of genetic algorithms is proposed to overcome this uncertainty. The basis of this approach is in genetic algorithm built in another genetic algorithm.

    Application of hardware desription languages to specification of the point module interlocking logic

    There is proposal to apply hardware description languages HDL in this paper to specify control movement devices in transport. Languages HDL, mainly used to design specialised programmable and reprogrammable digital devices, allow both simple and precise ways to describe functionality as well as a structure of both combine and sequence control devices. Concurrent processing instructions, built into languages, allow describing hardware realisations of control algorithm processes.
