Abstract

This thesis deals with the design of methodology for testing of 3D printed flexible structures in order to determine their stiffness and with the creation of a computer model, which could replace this physical testing. The theoretical part first briefly characterizes the types of structures from a geometrical point of view and then describes the technology of 3D printing, its methods, and materials suitable to produce flexible structures. In the practical part, the original testing methodology is introduced, which is realized on selected structures and at the same time the stiffness of these structures is evaluated. Subsequently, a validated computer model for calculating the stiffness of structures is assembled. The next part of the work, using a computer model, deals with the parametric study of the stiffness of three selected types of structures. At the end of the work, a computer model for determining the maximal load of structures is presented. The work is completely original, and its results will be used for the design of biomedical applications.
