Abstract

This Diploma thesis is focused on comparison of old geometrical model (existing model) and modified model of the formula car results obtained from Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis for the better improvement of flow properties. As we know Aerodynamics plays a crucial role in sports car, the main objective is to analyse drag and lift force, and other flow properties of both models and discuss improvisation of the flow which is more efficient for the race. In this case, the modified model with air swirlers at the end of the frontal wing and on the sides of the floor at the rear end closes the space under the floor are proposed and the thesis work deals with analysing and comparing both provided models for the better aerodynamics of this sports car. The analysis work is carrried out in ANSYS CFX.
